"Axelrad is Entrancing" - LA TIMES
Film & Stage Actor
Ali Axelrad is a stage & screen actress, who most recently appeared in David Fincher's
ten-time-Academy Award nominated film Mank, opposite Gary Oldman & Amanda Seyfried.
Her entire life was shaped at four years old when she saw Beauty & the Beast on Broadway. Walking out of the theater post-show she turned to her mother & said "I want to do that".
She made her stage debut later that year and has been a theater rat ever since.
Some of her most treasured career highlights are playing Wendy Darling opposite Tony Nominee Jenn Colella in Peter Pan at the Stephen Sondheim Center, appearing LA regional premiere of Ragtime (along side Ken Page), and clinking glasses with the life-and-death-brigade boys in Netflix's Gilmore Girls:
A Year in The Life.
in omnia paratus!
She lent her singing voice to Yamaha's recording of The Sound of Music and can be heard on John Bucchino's single of "Grateful", the proceeds of which benefited victims of Hurricane Sandy.
On a deeply personal level she feels it is the greatest gift in her career to have portrayed many strong, Jewish women (Anne in A Diary of Anne Frank, Chava in Fiddler on the Roof, to name just a few) and looks forward bringing to life many more of their stories to life! לי חיים
She splits her time between LA & NYC,
with her toothless cat Turnip, Pomeranian Bearshnikov, and her muggle-husband.
