Ali can be seen in David Fincher's latest film Mank & in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, written and directed by Marvelous Mrs Maisel's Amy Sherman-Palladino, both streaming on and produced by Netflix.
At four years old Ali saw Beauty & the Beast on Broadway, walking out of the theater after she told her mother "I want to do that". She made her stage debut later that year and has been working on both stage and camera ever since.
In Los Angeles she performed in the regional premiere of Ragtime, as well as the title role in The Diary of Anne Frank, Gloria in Wait Until Dark, Adele in A Man of No Importance, and Miranda in The Tempest. Following her early highschool graduation she played opposite Tony Nominee Jenn Colella as Wendy Darling in Peter Pan at The Stephen Sondheim Center, and as Chava in Sierra Repertory Theater's Fiddler on The Roof, before moving to NYC. While living in New York she starred as Olive in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and went on to tour nationally, perform on off-Broadway stages, and
made her Carnegie Hall debut with the
Israeli Philharmonic, under Maestro Zubin Mehta. She continues to work on regional stages in classics, such as:
Shakespeare's King John, Comedy of Errors, The Seagull, andGeorge Bernard Shaw's Heartbreak House.
Having always carried a deep love for creative collaboration, Ali has had the pleasure of developing many exciting new works, including the world premieres of Assistants!, Dirty Laundry, and Reunion (under the direction of original Chorus Line's Kay Cole).
She has lent her singing voice to Yamaha's recording of The Sound of Music and can be heard on John Bucchino's 2012 single of Grateful, which benefited victim's from Hurricane Sandy.
Her passion for performing is only matched by her devotion to working with the specially abled community ; specifically teaching yoga to children with special needs. She is certified to teach through Yoga For the Special Child,
Om Schooled, & Yoga to the People.
Her greatest wish is to help make space for vulnerability in the world with both her yoga practice and story telling. She is bi-coastal and a proud and good standing member of SAG-AFTRA & AEA.
